Class requirements: 

• Class participation is required. 
• Homework assignments must be completed on time. 
• Class participation is 40%
• Homework assignments are 30%
• Weekly, midterm, and final test grades are 30%

Homework assignment requirements:

• All homework must be submitted by the posted deadline in order to receive the maximum points. 
• Homework submitted one day later will receive a 50% reduction in your grade. 
• Ex: Homework assignment = 20 pts. Late assignment (1 day late) = 10 pts. 
• If your assignment is more than 2 days late, you will not receive any credit for the assignment.

Class participation is 40% 
Participation grades will be given based on the following:

• Cooperation with your classmates in discussion and various communication activities. 
• You must arrive on time.

• You will be completing projects and assignments in class that will require your participation. Assignments completed in class will not be accepted by students who were absent. 
• Speaking English is obligatory. 

Test grades are 30%. 

• You will have weekly tests, a midterm and a final exam. 
• You must arrive on time to take the test. 
• There are no makeup tests. You will have a weekly test every Friday. 
• You will have a midterm and a final exam. 
• There will also be some short quizzes. 

Very important information: You can not miss more than 600 minutes in the entire session. If you miss 600 minutes or more, you will fail the class. If you have any questions, please let me know.
